When I am not at work I am either at the gym, with my dog Bella or with my boyfriend trying out a new restaurant. My most used phrase is “alrighty”. I am always singing, usually singing about what I am doing. My favorite part of my job is – knowing that I am doing my part in making a patient’s day better. I have the most amazing family. Janelle
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Coming from a background in nursing, I was introduced to dentistry during training for disaster relief. I loved the powerful impact dentistry could have in helping others, especially in needy countries. In 2018 I decided to get my certification as a dental assistant and joined the team at Collins Dental in 2021. I am a space enthusiast, spending many hours watching launches and listening to my husband share his work day at NASA. I have two kiddos who have started the journey of “adulting” having just turned 20 and 18. I am thrilled to be part of the team at Collins Dental and look forward to many years getting to know the amazing patients we serve. My personal hero is: Got to say Jesus. No one has ever done so much for me…given everything, including their life, so I could spend eternity with them. Mind blown. I love it when: I’ve ended my work day knowing I have made a difference in the lives of our patients. When I am not at work: I’m traveling to third-world countries doing dental clinics. It’s quite humbling to see the gratitude and generosity people, who have so little, give you just for caring for their teeth. I always get 1000 times more back than I ever give. My most used phrase is: “I love working here!”. I am always singing: any song that pops into my head; can’t stop humming. My favorite part of my job is our amazing patients. I have the most amazing: husband. Almost 30 years married and it just gets better and better! He’s a great dad, landscape expert, home-remodel guru, a pastor and a rocket scientist to boot! I’m most proud when: I see my kids serve others with a true heart.

New Technology With a Gentle Touch
We utilize leading-edge dental technology as part of our commitment to providing an exceptional level of dentistry. These tools allow us to detect issues earlier, diagnose, and treat more dental issues faster while keeping your comfort priority one at all times. You can trust you’re getting only the latest dental technology and treatments when you visit our office.

Digital and 3D X-rays
Our digital X-rays emit less radiation, take images faster without any need for processing, and allow us to optimize the images so we can provide a more precise diagnosis.

Cavity Detection
The DIAGNOdent is a pen-like device that uses laser fluorescence to help us see cavities in your teeth. There is no x-ray exposure and allows for a more detailed look at the health of your teeth. The DIAGNOdent is an excellent tool to find early signs of lesions on the teeth. The earlier they are detected, the sooner we can remove the decay. When cavities are small we can save more of the natural tooth, keeping your smile healthy and strong.

Intraoral Camera
We use our intraoral camera to get a closer look at your oral health while also helping to bring you into your own diagnosis and treatment plan. The images from the camera can be projected onto a screen for you to get a dentist’s view of any signs or issues we see.

Laser Dentistry
If you have periodontal issues our laser therapy might be a good fit. Lasers can target and accurately remove diseased tissue. It also helps support the regrowth of healthy tissue. There are several benefits of laser periodontal treatment, including:
Minimally invasive
Minimizes bleeding
Shorter healing time
Customizable for each patients level of disease.

Painless Injections
You will be as comfortable as possible, even when you need a shot. Our painless injections are one of our favorite offerings to patients, and one of the best things for our patients. If the fear of injections keeps you from coming to the dentist, fear no more. We will surprise you with the difference we offer.

VELscope
The VELscope vastly improves the ability of dentists to accurately identify oral cancer. The VELscope allows the direct visualization of tissue fluorescence which complements and expands upon the view obtained by reflected light.

You will get the best dental care and customer service at Collins Dental, bar none. The staff is incredible and caring. Dr. Collins is an exceptional dentist and a caring, compassionate human. The quality of his work is also exceptional. There are little "perks" they give you to make your time there more comfortable. They offer neck pillows, blankets, sunglasses (for the bright lights), and more. They also have all the best and latest equipment like 360° X-ray machine. Please note that you will pay more for that. They are more expensive than other dentists. Dentistry in general is ridiculously expensive. It's the last frontier of healthcare, in my opinion. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. I have found that the "bargain" dentists that are covered by HMOs are generally not very good. We have had some terrible experiences and lasting damage from those. The better dentists charge more, but even some of them are sorely lacking in customer care. For me, it's worth paying a little more to get the exceptional care and quality product of Collins Dental. You truly feel cared for in their hands.
- Amanda
My fourth visit and I am so glad I took the advice of all the wonderful recommendations of the members of the Oviedo, FL 32765, 32766 FB Group started by Emma Reichert. I've dealt with several different staff members and they are all friendly and professional. Dr. Azer is truly amazing. I have already made appointments for my husband and mom to start coming here too. They have all the safety precautions in place from COVID-19. I'm looking forward to them taking care of my dental needs for years to come. Thank you Collins Dental!
- Gerette
They are so gentle and kind as well as caring when it comes to their patients. At first I didn't have insurance, but because they made me feel so comfortable and important and are so unbelievably nice, I didn't care and paid with cash. I decided even if I never have dental insurance I will continue to go there. This is the very first time I've actually looked forward to going to a dentist. I know that sounds odd, but it's the absolute truth!! They are the best out there by far and they were so patient and kind with my daughter that has a disability. It's hard to find dentists that actually make you feel like family. Thank you Collins Dental!!!
- Laura
Collins Dental goes out of their way to make you feel safe and comfortable around COVID-19 challenges. The staff is always friendly and I have seen both Dr. Collins and Dr. Azer and they are both awesome (and patient). I do not post reviews typically, but because of what they are so professional and service-oriented, I feel very comfortable highly recommend them for your dental needs!
- Carole

Dr. Reiter & his team bring the latest innovative state of the art techniques for a positive outcome in restoring the health & well being of your teeth & smile. Awesome!
- Barb
Very impressive care. Everyone that I met was kind and loving! So obviously looking out for their patients! I had a dentist from hell when I was young, this experience has changed my fear of
Dentistry to one of respect and gratitude! Thank you, Dr. Collins and all your staff...
- Robert
I absolutely love Collins Dental! Been going there for a number of years now and have highly recommended them to others. Their entire staff is so warm and friendly on top of super professional. Today was my first visit during the pandemic and I felt very safe in their pristine offices and all staff used PPEs. Of all the dental practices I have previously been to, none had the level of care and professionalism that I have experienced at Collins Dental.
- Anna
Excellent care! The staff and dentist were very calming and informative, explaining each process as they examined and worked. Tasha, my hygienist was careful and aware of sensitive areas on my teeth/gums before I raised my hand to let her know. Very friendly, positive environment. Oh and state of the art equipment/technology too! So glad I found them!
- Mary
Because of illness, I missed my cleaning in June with my regular hygienist. Today I had a cleaning with Tasha, and she did a great job. She made me so comfortable and even gave me “greetings” from my regular hygienist. I was impressed with all of the mitigation procedures that they have in place. I have been a patient for probably at least 15 years and have had treatment by so many great professionals. Thank you, Dr. Collins, for maintaining an outstanding level of service.
- Donna
I don’t know where to begin. EVERYTHING about this dental family is AMAZING. I suffer from extreme anxiety from horrible past experiences. This office has always treated me with the upmost respect, care and concern.
- Joy
The office and staff were so careful. I felt they put the safety and health of the patients as a priority. They have always taken necessary precautions but I feel like they placed an even higher priority for both the patients and staff. I left there assured that I was safe and valued.
- Kathryn
This is the most wonderful dental experience anyone could ever ask for. Every single member of the staff, from the front office, to the dental technicians, to the doctors are all amazing. I have been going to this dental office for about 4 years and I will never change. I highly recommend Collins dental to anyone in need of absolutely amazing dental service.
- Bryan
I've been going to Collins Dental for several years now and love everything about them! They really take care of you as a patient and have never guilt-tripped me because of cavities or anything else. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Orlando area looking for a dentist.
Additionally, they've taken several precautions with Covid and have really made the environment safe and hospitable for clients to continue getting treatment and services.
- Keil
I am a 15-year patient. Highly professional service and dental care. The perfectionist and caring mindset by Dr. Collins flows throughout the entire business. Newest Covid safety procedures, combined with new state of the art safety equipment is impressive.....and reassuring. The staff is uniformly exceptional.
